Kim Hyun Joong "High Five Touch" in Manila

Kim Hyun Joong arrived in Manila on August 25 via Thai Airways for his “High-Five Touch” event in Trinoma Mall.  This is to promote his first mini album "Break Down", distributed by PolyEast Records.

From Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), he was greeted by fans at the arrival area.  He was wearing white T-shirt and still looking fresh from his trip.  But he still managed to smile and wave at his fans even for just a few minutes.

At the Trinoma Mall, fans bought his “Break Down” album as early as 8AM to get their free entrance to the “High-Five Touch” event that started at 6PM.  While waiting for Kim Hyun Joong to arrived, local artists entertained the audience.  But thousands of fans were restless, all they want was Kim Hyun Joong only.  How many times I heard they chanted his name.

You can see at his face how surprised he was seeing how big the crowd during the event.  Five hundred people got the chance to meet Hyun Joong up close and 500 albums were sold out in a day.

His message to his fans, that he is looking forward to include Philippines for his Asia Tour Concert and will try to bring better songs and better performances.  He thanked and waved at the crowd before he exit the stage.

I felt sorry for myself because I don’t have time to line up there and buy his album. :(  Luckily I found a nice spot at the second floor to take a picture and video the event.  ^-^)

Here are the photos and videos of the event.  Let me know how you enjoyed the event by giving your comments.

Korean Language Boom in Russia

As K-Pop becomes popular among young Russians, many of them enrolled to study Korean language.  The Korean language class is accommodating so many students that they even moved out the desk just to secure the number of students, which is twice than expected.   Many of them just sit on the floor or stand up in every corner of the room.  That’s how eager they are to learn the language, in order to recite the lyrics of the Korean songs.  K-Pop is the main reason why they are learning the language.
